Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Please read these terms carefully before using Myzusi Wallet. By accessing or using our non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the Myzusi Wallet application, website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Myzusi Wallet ("we," "us," or "our").

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

2. Description of Service

Myzusi Wallet is an open-source, non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that supports 90+ cryptocurrencies. The Service enables you to:

  • Generate and manage cryptocurrency private keys and wallet addresses locally on your device.
  • Send and receive cryptocurrency transactions by broadcasting them directly to their respective blockchain networks.
  • View your cryptocurrency balances and transaction history.
  • Connect and use hardware signing devices, including Trezor and Ledger wallets.
  • Authenticate spend transactions using passkeys.

Non-custodial nature: Myzusi Wallet is a non-custodial service. This means that you, and only you, hold and control your private keys and seed phrase. We do not store, have access to, or maintain custody of your private keys, seed phrases, passwords, wallet addresses, or funds at any time. We cannot execute or reverse transactions on your behalf, and we cannot recover lost keys or seed phrases.

The source code of Myzusi Wallet is publicly available, the builds are reproducible, and the software is released under the MIT license. The Service charges 0% service fees and requires no KYC (Know Your Customer) verification.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.
  • The quality of the Service will meet your expectations.
  • Any errors in the software will be corrected.
  • The Service will be compatible with any particular hardware, software, or network configuration.

No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

4. Risk Disclosure

By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept the following risks inherent to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology:

4.1 Market Volatility

Cryptocurrency values are highly volatile and can fluctuate dramatically in short periods. The value of your cryptocurrency holdings may increase or decrease significantly at any time. Past performance is not indicative of future results. You should never invest more than you can afford to lose.

4.2 Irreversible Transactions

Cryptocurrency transactions, once broadcast to a blockchain network and confirmed, are irreversible. If you send cryptocurrency to an incorrect address, or if you send the wrong amount, it may be impossible to recover those funds. You are solely responsible for verifying all transaction details before confirming any transfer.

4.3 Key and Seed Phrase Management

Your private keys and seed phrase are the sole means of accessing your cryptocurrency funds. If you lose your seed phrase or private keys, your funds will be permanently and irrecoverably lost. We cannot recover, reset, or restore your keys or seed phrase under any circumstances. You are solely responsible for securely storing your backup seed phrase in a safe, offline location.

4.4 Security Risks

Despite our commitment to security through features such as passkey authentication, hardware signing support, and reproducible builds, no software can guarantee absolute security. You assume all risk of unauthorized access to your device, your wallet, and your funds. Malware, phishing attacks, device theft, and other security threats may compromise your cryptocurrency holdings.

4.5 Regulatory Risk

Cryptocurrency regulation varies by jurisdiction and is evolving. Legislative or regulatory changes may adversely affect the use, transfer, or value of your cryptocurrency. You are responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations applicable to your use of the Service in your jurisdiction.

4.6 Network Risks

Blockchain networks may experience congestion, forks, attacks, or other disruptions that could affect the processing, confirmation, or finality of your transactions. We do not operate or control any blockchain network and cannot guarantee the availability or performance of any network.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MYZUSI WALLET, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Any loss of cryptocurrency or funds, whether due to lost private keys, lost seed phrases, unauthorized access, hacking, device failure, user error, or any other cause.
  • Market volatility or changes in cryptocurrency value.
  • Actions or inactions of third parties, including blockchain networks, exchanges, or other service providers.
  • Errors, bugs, or vulnerabilities in the software.
  • Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100).

6. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Secure your seed phrase — you must write down your seed phrase and store it in a secure, offline location. Do not store your seed phrase digitally (e.g., in screenshots, emails, cloud storage, or note-taking applications). Never share your seed phrase with anyone.
  • Keep your device secure — you are responsible for maintaining the security of the device on which Myzusi Wallet is installed. This includes keeping your operating system and applications up to date, using strong device authentication, and avoiding untrusted software.
  • Verify transactions — you must carefully review all transaction details, including recipient addresses, amounts, and network fees, before confirming any transaction. When using a hardware wallet, verify transaction details on the hardware device display.
  • Comply with applicable laws — you are responsible for determining whether your use of the Service complies with all laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction.
  • Backup your data — you are solely responsible for maintaining backups of all wallet data, including your seed phrase, to prevent loss of access to your funds.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of Ontario, Canada, for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. 12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Myzusi Wallet regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral, regarding the Service.
